I haven't attended any school yet. Up until 2 weeks ago i had a perfect driving record. I was driving on highway during downpour and hydroplaned into concrete divider! Got a ticket for speeding and having a worn front tire. I know i wasnt speeding and plan to fight this in court (Sept 24th)
Will driving schools accept me for this?
    Thanx for your help.

If you weren't convicted yet than it won't be on your MVR.

If you go to a driving school the application will only ask you to disclose moving violations that you've plead guilty and been convicted of, not ones that you have received.

If ya plan on handling it I wouldn't bother telling them. Haven't been "convicted" yet so it's not on your record.

Also most companies allow for 1-2 tickets anyway depending on the severity. (No duis, reckless driving, etc.)

Fight the ticket and move on.

Speeding, besides breaking the posted limit, is also driving too fast for conditions.

    Do you have a pulse?
Can you keep a seat warm?
    Are you in a wheelchair?
    Can you spell truck?

If you answer yes to all these questions,
    You'll hired.
Don't worry about it,don't hide it.
Just put it on the application.

Anything other than a child molester is good to go.
Next time put the phone down while in a downpour.

    Lepton1 and shogun Thank this.

“Driving too fast for road conditions”...doesn’t have anything to do with the posted speed limit. It’s basically a ticket given to people that drive faster than their skills allow.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

For the conditions and the worn tire on your vehicle, for which you failed to replace with a good tire capable of dealing with wet weather, you WERE speeding. That is why the tire left the pavement, ride up on the water and sent you into the wall.

Speeding is not speed limit here. It is possible to be say 15 mph on ice and still be speeding too fast for conditions.

If that worn tire comes out in court, you are going to lose the case. Most states if not all requires you to have a car with adequate equipment and necessary good condition capable of taking on the highway safely. Worn tires are not safe.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

The accident may give you a few headaches? But then, maybe not too? I think Id be more worried about it than the speeding ticket. That will be on your record whether the speeding ticket is or not?
