After losing Supreme Court ruling, Prime offers $28M to settle lawsuits with drivers.

Can you believe this, Prime skimming off drivers pay, unbelievable. I am sure this is the tip of the iceberg. I was a truck driver for 2 companies over a 2 year period and had to check my paycheck each time to verify deductions as there was always a miscellaneous deduction. Please go read the article.

Every company that pays anything less than hub miles is skimming.

“Prime is pleased that it has reached a resolution of this litigation matter,” said Steve Crawford, Prime’s general counsel.
“We are proud of how we treat our drivers, and we work hard to get it
Nevertheless, we decided that moving past the litigation was the right thing to do.”

Translation: No way we can win it, so we'll just spin it.

Oliviera and Haworth is significant to me. They were probably lease ops and that has been so questionable in recent months. It's one thing to lease purchase a truck with a company, but another thing to lease on to a company. I've recently about a company making lease purchase drivers adhere to forced dispatch

An E-mail was sent to prime drivers on getting a cut of the settlement & a company Super said to not respond because it was a fishing E-mail. The same Super retracted his msg but the plaintiffs lawyers think it was done on purpose & went back to court to get more time on the payout.

There are quite a few companies paying zip code to zip code. They are going to be the next ones to go down.

I know a little bit about Law and Law goes by precedents. So, future cases will be solved quicker and the penalties will be in line with what Prime has to pay.

This is horse sh**. Swift paid $100,000,000 and Prime is offering $28,000,000 for the same thing? Why should Prime get off so much less? To the persons leasing a truck from a company and doing the "fleece purchase" (this includes me too, even, I don't discriminate) DON'T TRY TO SUE AND SAY YOU WERE MISCLASSIFIED. It is your own failure to do basic math and calculate that you won't be making no $6500 a week to the truck. You were well aware what you were getting into BEFORE you signed and took the truck.
