Tire so bald you can see air inside it

That’s what happens when you put a new tire next to a worn one. It’s quite possible that bald tire had good tread at the start of its shift.

Had an outer trailer tire replaced next to one with excellent tread but after running 70-75 the entire day the inside tire was completely bald.

Turned out to be a TA put a tall tire on instead of a low pro. Couldn’t tell they were different unless you actually read the tire sizes. Got two free tires from TA so all ended well.

 

In my opinion, he can't afford a good tire because he hauls cheap freight...

 

We have had numerous drivers post how they were a 1099 with super ego and were taken advantage of, ripped off and the list goes on....

 

That's a drive tire. They don't get that bad over night! Replace it!

 

Looks like he threw a cap. There’s a bulge or something just before the 9 o’clock position.

 

That tire is not bald it lost it’s cap. Like the bulge @Long FLD mentioned you can see the witness marks on the shoulder edges where the tread tore the rubber as it separated. Since it still has air and looks properly inflated it was probably a road hazard condition.

 

If you see a gator like this on the road make sure you stop and tell it were its owner is.

 

If you zoom in to the RRO drive tire, you'll see that it is a trailer tire. Although legal, this indicates to me that the driver doesn't give a poop about the condition of his tractor, and that other horrors await discovery.

Wonder if the other side is honky dory.
