Titanic replica will have maiden voyage in 2022

There were two Bismarck class battle ship built and used by Germans .Bismarck and slightly bigger sister Tirpitz. Both were destroyed by British navy and air forces. it was revenge for HMS Hood for sure.

 

The California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento has one EMD DDA40X . We have seen it.

 

We have a Company DD40x rolling on the system. One Blazed by at 80 while I waited not too long ago with a short company executive train.

Used to be one at Jenks in front of North Little Rock yards. A few years ago a copper thief unwound all the traction motors in the night, made a killing. I don't know if they caught him or not.

 

If I remember right, 3985 is using #5 fuel oil.

I’m assuming big boy is using the same?

When I was researching the titanic while in school, that’s when I learned about Bismarck that was found by Robert Ballard’s team that also found the titanic.

This made for a lot of interesting reading of both ships.

 

It would be interesting to see how many change genders when it comes time to load the life rafts.
