I guess I will never understand why people do things, or their seemingly lack of common sense.

A complete and utter shame. This man's life is ruined forever due to the actions of this trucker. You guys wonder why people are coming down so hard on the trucking industry...it's things like this that give them ammunition. If that driver was drowsy, he should've pulled over...plain and simple.:biggrin_25510::biggrin_25516:

God Bless that trooper and I pray for a full recovery for him and his family.

truckers aren't the only ones that drive while tired. Think some of those construction workers driving home in their pickup after a 12 hour day aren't tired.

I used to work in a factory with a guy that worked 10-12 hour shifts then drove 7 hrs round trip home.

I'm not saying they are the only ones, but with driving being your primary job, you have a great responsibility for safety on the road seeing how you drive more miles in a month than most anyone else does in 3 months.

and for every truck on the road, there are 10 cars.

How many of them are travelling salesmen, realtors or other business people on the road distracted or tired?
