I may have told this story before, but I'm old (VERY) and forgetful so forgive me if I have. There used to be a bad arse motorcycle rally in the Florida panhandle that made Thunder Beach (Panama City) and Daytona look like church choir get togethers. They locked the gates at night and it was anything goes. lol

Anyway, many years ago there was an incident a few miles down the road from the rally involving a pilgrim and his exploits with a goat, if you get my meaning. It was all over the news. The rally was a couple of weeks later. A clever vendor made a small FORTUNE selling t-shirts that said "BAHHHH MEANS NO!". lol

Thank You for the wonderful review Miss Uturn girl.

I was just browsing threads looking for info on companies and wasn’t planning on registering and posting here but had to take a moment and thank you for the detailed review.

You’re company may be the one for me.

    Quick question if I may ma’am ???

I’m living in the Houston area doing LTL for the last 3 years, never been over road trucking. Retired from the Air Force 3 years ago and got an offer for free driver training from a LTL company and been here ever since. But I’m yearning for the open road and am a native of Virginia and haven’t lived there in 25 years but have family there and would love an OTR gig that allows me to take some home time in Texas, and other times in Virginia.

You think your company would allow that and accept my LTL experience or do they prefer OTR experience ?

Doing LTL in Houston a city with no zoning and warehouses in residential neighborhoods has prepared me for pretty much anything in this business. So can pass the hell out of any type of road skills test.

Thanks again. Loving reading your post.

Thank you for kind words. And thank you for your service. My son retired from USAF after 22 years and is now a dock manager at Averitt. Hella good company if you can stand the management. LOL.

as far as TNI goes, because of the extended hometime options, you must park at one of their yards for hometime. I doubt they have an option in Virginia, but I was surprised to find they had a few slots rented in Detroit, so who knows?

I have seen several megas that have a 2 or 3 months out 1 week off option that might work. Jbhunt for one, but I wasn't satisfied with the miles.
