I was cookin up thru Arkansas Thursday and dropped 40 degrees in just a few hours. My slate was dripping wet so I called and told the consignee I was gonna be there about 1/2 hour after they close and it probably wouldn’t behoove any of us to have me sleep on this load at 15 degrees over night. He agreed and stuck around. I got dumped and made it to the salt mine that night and got loaded. Cut out early and back to Peterbilt before 8 am. Dump my salt Monday morning in Milan MO and then I too will be joining the ranks of @Professor No-Name and will be feeding the cows. Feed down to Oklahoma and then back over to ‘Bama. Everyone have a good weekend!

Good to see everyone chiming in, had a busy day yesterday took cold patch down south and reloaded glass in Sarasota headed up to middle GA, decided to just go ahead and run it and take a night in the truck. Been a few months since I've had to be out, have to be honest, really wasn't missing it. Only plus to me these days about staying out is that I sleep really good in the truck. Weather was moving in to GA this morning, so I at least wanted to be unloaded last night, and able to reload this morning and head home. I beat the weather for the most part, and got a truck wash once I got south of it so the truck is looking good again. @motocross25 how are you liking staying out again? It's kind of odd for me, I did it for a lot of years, then one day I just woke up and basically decided being gone wasn't for me anymore, makes me wonder if I'll ever have the desire again, right now it's a hard pass

Well folks it's that time again to buy a new trailer. So this time I am asking everyone for their opinion as to manufacturer.
My specs/ requirements are: OOP lights, in cab controls for: tail gate airbags lift axle, backup lights plumbed to the front. Lift axle, disk brakes( not a deal breaker but) woman door, no ladders smooth side 39 foot, 60 inch sides on 102 axles. At least 2 way gate 3 way is much better, slide back tarp yes I know not 100% water proof but close enough for me. Liner. Spare tire rack. Must weigh at or under 10,500 on tall rubber all aluminum wheels, NO chinese tires!
Not a big fan of East but for the right money..........
So your valuable impute is really appreciated and I thank you in advance.D.Tibbitt and Professor No-Name Thank this. -
@NightWind I'm not much on valuable info on this topic, I'm just happy to have a trailer that goes up straight
I saw a guy some time back at ES&G, big yellow pete, out of TN I think, I believe everything on that trailer was operated from the cab, he literally only got out to get his ticket, and by the time he hit the gate he was ready to roll.
