Experience takes time and practice. I tell all new drivers do what your gut says and ignore anyone being stupid. It doesn't matter what the last million trucks did before you, it only matters what YOU feel yours can do safely. I've never hauled milling in a frame trailer. It can be aggravating sometimes. I guess the thing I hate is drilling mud. That stuff is a pain and Oh so messy.
to all end dump haulers...

You want messy , try hauling sludge out of settling ponds at sewage plant LOL. Trailer standing all the way up , you walk to back and see what's left Ten or 20 pounds will come out of nose gaining velocity with every foot it falls , splash

I got a buddy that does that but they use tanks to drain the ponds! They then drive to farmers fields and spray it as fertilizer

Sorry to hear about your step daughter @NightWind that looks like some painful recovery headed her way. I took to the track this morning for a few laps after six weeks mending my 4 broken ribs, overall they seem to be healed up pretty good, not too sore but I didn't push it either, just stayed local to a track close to the house that is super sandy, and I hate sand, so 2 moto's in I headed back to the house.
We headed up to Atlanta for the holiday, wanted to get out of town, and I've always kind of liked Atlanta. The weather wasn't great but it was nice to get away, the older I get though the more I realize I'm not a fan of road trips, I guess when you drive for a living the last thing you want to do with your time off is more driving.
Lastly, I'm loaded for Pensacola in the morning, going to take some time off around the Christmas and New Years since they fall on such odd days of the week, really looking forward to some long weekends. Stay safe everyone.NightWind Thanks this.
