I'd look at it figuring both differentials, tranny, clutch, all suspension bushings, torque arms, air bags, king pins, and tie rod ends will have to be replaced or repaired.

That's on top of all the little crap 379's are known for, like hood hinges, pins, bushings, etc.

How much are you willing to invest?

If I keep the T660, I'd be willing to do it all as I had time. Maybe by the time I hang up my keys it'll be 'perfect'? LMAO
Ezrider on utoob has a lot of great tutorials, I might even be able to do a fair portion of the work myself.

Had a discussion with wifey...she said "you're gonna do what you want, why are we discussing it?" I'm taking that as a green light.

Is the WS electronic or mechanical? While I like paper, if I stay leased where I am for any length of time I have to run elogs.

    It is a wire motor
. Round plug compatible.. Do yourself a big favor if you are gonna put that kind of sweat, blood and tears and cash in one, get one with a Cat in it even if it is shot. Cause it will already be set up for a Cat and when you are done fixing it up you will have a more marketable truck as an asset. Not trying to step on any toes about red motors. One I'm my drive when it is home. 30k to overhaul that and still be less than sure about what u are getting is way high in my opinion.

Have you checked to see how long the wait is for the rebuild parts ?

2WS is an E model, what it would likely have in it if it'd came factory with a Cat.

Love Petercars, but your funeral here. Looking for a place to shed some cash, here you go. Lots of 379's out there, many still running and someones sweetheart. I'd run away from this one.
