I am going to offer advice you really need to take seriously.

Although TR is a great place to get advice on many things, the one thing that you should take advice in with a professional telling you if it is correct is financial and legal issues.

what I mean is you need to have ask both an accountant and a lawyer to determine what you need based on your personal circumstances.

Trucking, any trucking venture is a high liability business, this is on both tax liabilities and liabilities due to accidents. This isn’t your dad’s world of the 1960s where insurance is cheap and no one goes to court, there are ambulance chasing scum lawyers waiting for accidents to happen and they will take you for everything you own if they can - and LLC does not protect assets.

So again my advice is to go to these two, or find a firm with both, let them look at your situation and advise you properly.

and by the way, as I said in your other thread, if you are running under an another’s authority and you are interstate, you need a contract with the authority that details the relationship between you two, otherwise you are not legal.
