then that is "new to me"...i haven't been that way in years (maybe since about 2007...???) . when you got off the bridge, EVERYONE went thru a toll plaza for cash or ezpass. but you only know of that one, maybe someone else knows of another state that tolls only trucks?

it is still arbitrary to toll only one segment of vehicles. i can "buy into" the debate trucks are bigger, and do more damage but, trucks ARE NOT the only vehicles on those roads.

then too, is the half-baked construction/repairs of all the roads. cheaper materials, milling the surface rather than digging it up, using the old concrete base, maybe make a repair patch and not replacing it, and the forever "seams" that do not always line up with each other, to allow the potholes to develop. and foremost, what seems to me, a thinner layer of blacktop.

does anyone know what the "old" blacktop requirements were for road surfaces?

i doubt, and truckstop parking lot would survive the same tiny amount of application. truckstop parking lots have a considerably thicker layer of blacktop to withstand all the weight. why can't the roads be as thick, or thicker?

money, and job security, that's why.

the problems are if they all used good quality materials then the contractors will not survive. So because is Goverments Funds they use cheap quality and every week they have to patch that same hole. is a business that its robing the goverments. i just dont know how they keep leading it happen time after time.

The Tap Northbound 87/287 is tolled trucks only and it was back in ‘06-‘07 when you croosed it. The toll booth is a few miles North of the Bridge. Southbound all vehicles are tolled, and now they went cashless tolling there. Mo more toll boths, it’s ez pass or pay by mail.
