As long as you aren't 450 lbs., , should be okay. I used to carry everything I needed for an in-frame major in a box behind the sleeper, but today, I don't really see the need for tools at all.

 

If you look carefully, you will see quite a few teams weighing over 600-700 lbs. Your tools are fine.

 

good on you mate. I am one of those who waited 3hrs to have a $550 mounded heater hose fitted that cost me $1000 after call out and return to base was calculated. Its also why the penny has finally dropped to buy different more simple truck, and will be chucking some basics and tools in the back.

 

I was just waiting for someone to say that. I know I carry 3 to 400 pounds of tools and tire tools and different things. I do not wait for a tire truck. I carry a spare and I have all the tools to fix it. of course a lot of that goes into side boxes and chain cabinet.
