Hoping someone can help me make heads or tails out of this ticket I received Friday.
Was inadvertently entered into third lane on a four lane bypass.
It was 294 in rush hour. A maneuver was required to stay safe. Then I was blocked from reentry into proper lane.

Anyway, was fined in Cook County Ill.
What are the further hidden ramifications? Everyone is acting like its no biggie around me, but I get a bad feeling.

    Employable?
    CSA, DAC, points, etc?

    Thank you for your time.

Wow, I'm surprised you weren't executed on the spot. These kinds of tickets are usually punishable by death. Every once in a while though it's usually a bunch of midgets who tickle you with feathers and you pee yourself and then are electrocuted. You got very lucky.

Was in lane two, vehicle on my right, was crossing the dividing line at my front bumper.
Saw in front left spot mirror lane to left empty, sounded horn and merged.

Avoided impact. Cop didn't see. Didn't care.

In all seriousness, serious or no?

I take from other driver sarcasm, no.

Dude it's a lane violation. You were in the wrong lane, not going the wrong way. Next time stay away from people and in the correct lane.

No ticket is "meh". All of them suck and are serious, or should be considered that way. In the grand scheme of tickets, it's pretty light. If this is your first ticket, make it your last ticket. These tickets to me, anyway, are money grabs, especially in that area. Pay it, be done with it, and learn from it. It sucks giving your money up for this kind of stuff. You can fight it if you really want to, but is it really worth your time? Besides, you admitted you were in the lane, and the judge or the cop doesn't care why.

yeah, 294 can be a track at times. And you get to pay for the privilege.

When I was around DC on the bypass, the Chicago loop, or any wheres else near a city, I slowed down a couple miles per hour under the pace of traffic, and I didn't give a crap what anyone said on the CB, or how many middle fingers I got. It gave me space for situations like yours.

Let the rest of them eat themselves for being in a hurry.......not me.
