Town opposes new Love's truck stop

Truck stops attract homeless (the non truck driver transients), thus attracting drugs and other crimes. There is also the prostitution that comes with it.

 

Maybe in/near major metro areas, but truckstops aren't usually built in the best areas of town anyway. What prostitution? I've been asked once if I wanted "company" in about 7yrs driving. Maybe it used to be a big problem, but I don't think it is anymore. The most "criminal act" that seems to happen at truckstops is hit and runs, and littering. Maybe the occasional fight. At least most truckstops. Obviously there's some where more serious things happen, but I wouldn't say that's the norm.
