TQL - "What kind of a rate would you need to make that work?"

TA services is another company, I don’t like how they spam the load board with 50 posts at a time with the same load but “with different pick up cities” ... when your really working the board then here comes TA services or Ohio Valley with 200 posts- like dang! I thought I just saw something

I may have to block them but, every now and then TA services will come through for the lanes I do. I already made a complaint to the load board but ... interesting news about TQL ... I think they’re still #3 in 3PL

 

I have complained too. I said you cannot claim to have more loads and better loads than anyone else if they are all FAKE.

 

The longer they take to tell you a rate the more the rate is going to suck. Some will say absolutely everything...as in... It's only 8,000 pounds.... shipper is easy always ready whenever you want and same with receiver... easy easy easy blah blah blah.......and we move these for x. Which is always a dirt cheap rate. They even tried telling me how much it is when converted into Canadian currency and try to make it sound like a good load. Do they think I don't have to pay us dollars for us diesel? Or equipment for that matter?

I've gotten to the point when I start hearing that schpiel I just tell em I don't want it. Keep it.

 

That's pretty funny they actually convert it to Canadian for you trying to make it look good. LOL. Some of the canned lines those rascals always fall back on get old quick. I'm the same way as you. There's certain scripted things that a broker will say and I just know it's a junk load so I hang up lol.

 

Color me curious: What does my competition tell you that gives off the, "Junk Load" vibes?

 

How often do you actually hang up?! I really get the urge to sometimes hang up, but I don’t

because hey- brokers hang up on carriers all the time. I just slightly think I’m burning bridges when I hang up.

Y'know, I get hung up on more than the other way around. But then, I never try to hang up on someone, unless it's just something absolutely ludicrous.

 

I never hang up. Usually say something like " Sorry, it's not gonna work for me" and then say bye.
Brokers, who hang up on me, get marked in my phone book and I don't call them anymore. Don't have any desire to deal with rude and unprofessional people
