Friend of mine hauls out of the Baltimore port quite frequently, and when he was loading there recently, there were two trucks loading whales that were going to a marine research facility in Canada.
Curtain side, stepdeck trailers, with open top “tubs” on them.
There were (iirc) four, harnessed observers per trailer to constantly monitor the whales while in transit.
When he first said that he saw two trucks loading whales at the port, I thought he was pulling my leg!
