    IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - A tractor-trailer carrying empty tubes of toothpaste overturned and caught fire Monday night along I-40 eastbound in Iredell County, closing the roadway into Tuesday morning.

    Part of I-40 eastbound was still closed as of 6 a.m. Tuesday. The wreck happened around 10:45 p.m. Monday near Exit 141.

    The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries. The truck caught fire after the driver lost control, traveled off the road and into the woods, troopers say.

    Easy, you get a toothpaste adapter. I kid you not. There is such a thing. It is for travelers that use the tiny tubes of toothpaste and want to refill them with a larger tube. Screw this long nut on and squeeze.

    Tho I think the load was probably new tubes from a plastic factory enroute to be filled at a toothpaste factory.

    The report stated 'empty tubes of toothpaste'. So did the tubes have toothpaste in them or no?

    The video shows the trailer belonging to Raven. If it wasn’t hot load before the wreck I can guarantee you that it’s a hot load now!
