Anyone done them lately? I have a dry van, no special needs, just wondering about what they run these days on average.

I'll dig out my last receipt today but it was a couple years back. I'm hoping the supply chain gouging isn't going to get me but we'll see.

Disc or drum? Shoes only, shoes and drums, or all of it with s cam bushings etc?

Drum, shoes and drums, they are done already and just started on it this morning. Fastest they have ever been by days. I guess I got lucky. I'm not sure if they had to do bushings or anything else. I'll update this after I get the bill.

I do know that parts prices went up and they had to do some other things, I had a full PM done and some work on the auto inflation system too.

    $2700.
$1953.70 in October 2021 at Loves.

It included drums and shoes both axles + Annual Trailer Inspection + labour.

Reason for edit: I was mistaken about the final charge.

    Wow!

Shoes and drums only shouldn't take more than 45 minutes an axle.

Here in LA we usually get our drum brakes for about $40-$80 a wheel. I do the brakes myself which saves. For 5 axles usually runs me around $200 an axle, if I have them done. But when I do them myself the cost is around >$800

Well, I just went there to stretch legs and I thought..." let's do the Trailer Annual....$70 ... sure I can do it"
He said, he found crack on a shoe, another was was too thin. I said "go ahead" ... then the drums were not looking sexy either, I said "go ahead".

Then remembering one dude having hard time finding drums in Chicago land....I thought for a minute and said to him "do it all!"

When they announced the final charge...I paused for a minute and thought " It was supposed to be $70 break...but on the other hand, what do you reckon we make all that money for?" Without thinking for much longer I reached for the wallet and this is the end of the story.

    Hold on! Hold on!
I apologize I confused that repair with something else...

Just checked the Quickbooks and it was

    $1953.70 not $2700.00

    So sorry!
