Hello all, so my question is... I have a 40' flatbed trailer that is sitting in storage but I haven't gotten my truck yet. My brother in law has a truck but no trailer and he hauls RVs. If I let him use my trailer to haul loads until I get my truck, what do you think would be a good rate to charge him? Percentage of each load or flat fee?

    Never mix business with family....

That said, he's your brother in law. Have him do maintenance tasks like replace tires, brakes, or lights as needed and call it a day. If you can't trust him for that, don't make the deal.

Depends if you keep it insured with trailer exchange or he insured it.

I’d say $150/week his insurance, and $200/week your insurance.
then decide who fixes it in writing, he he damages tire, who buys new tire, etc

The company im with they charge about 1k a month for trailer rental. Id say 100-200 a week is quite fair for a hotshot

48 flat . They charge the same for all the trailers in the company, 48flats and 53 steps.. Alot of guys buy their own trailer so they dont have to pay the company trailer rent... 1k a month but the company handles all expenses , maintenance, insurance etc... is that a high price? How much would u guys charge?
