I've only ever saw trailer mounted compressors on schlumberger equipment. Huge Gardner Denver V twins ran off a wet kit with big 50-75 gallon tank. Wouldn't a blower setup be lighter? Maybe its just a cement thing, bc all the sand guys had blowers.

Deff quieter than a blower and it airs up very quickly. With a short 10ft hose and 450 sacks (~45k) you can be empty in 30 min.

I guess it must be an oilfield thing??

We used blowers in the beginning for bulk cement. Now we rely on a big electric air supply driven by hundreds of horses by the plant. Puff up trailer to 14 pounds unload in 40 minutes.

Fracking and other bulk type trailers probably operate at pressures really high. I don't know anything about them.

Sand and cement are the same 12-15 lbs. Now when they actually frac they have a minimum of 10 trucks all hooked together. 3000hp cat 3516C 16cyl and a whopping 78L pushing fluid out @50,000+ psi. 30,000 hp all screaming at once you'll never forget it

A single 12.7 Detroit is all you need to pump cement down the casing and back up to the surface. 4+ miles
