I reported him after weighing my options. I've never been the guy to "rat" on anyone and hell I used to be a rebel my self but I have a family I want to go home to.

I don't know what the company will do once I talk to them today. Most likely they will let me go :biggrin_25510: I was told by the guy who does the investigating that he heard I "didn't like to drive". Odd because I love to drive! I've only been getting 4 to 6 hours of driving because my trainer takes over from the start. He drives to Oak Grove KY then I drive to Griffin GA. The last time at griffin GA going east bound he told me to goto sleep and he'd wake me. I woke up 45 min's from Benton IL!

I like the guy as a person we get a long that way for the most part cept the time he told me "I'm going to make sure you never drive a truck again" and all I did was grind a gear and the next day he did the same thing. I don't know what that was all about. So yeah things aren't all that peachy but they could get worse and I don't know wtf to do if that happens.

I don't know if they think I'm the problem if I get sent home if I can go some where else easy or if they will mess my DAC up or not.

Well it's 4:42 am I gotta head out to the terminal I'll try to let you guys know. If I reply sooner than later then something bad most likely happened. I'm trying to keep a positive outlook.

If they keep me with the guy what should I do? :biggrin_2554:

Man, that sucks, and YOU will most likely be the one who pays !! Document everything that you can, try to CYA if possible. Keep your cool about this, don't blow-up, even though it's tempting..Try to salvage your career, think before you act. I really wish you the best of luck, and you will need it. What is the name of this fine company-if you don't mind me asking ?

That is the best advice is to keep your cool, and keep in contact with the dispatch or the Driver Manager!

So why would he be the one getting into trouble if the trainer is the one running illegal? Are the companies that ignorant to think that the newbie has taken over the truck and is running it illegally and the trainer has no control?

    DiGangi,

Sadly it come down to value, who has more value to the company. I'm sure they would be concerned, but I'm sure as a training company they see tons of personality conflicts and complaining from students.......some of it just plain non sense.

you have a lousy "trainer." I couldn't really tell from your post, but if you're team driving, you're not actually being trained. when I "trained" with transam, my so called trainer was asleep half the time. trainer can't train if he's asleep. transam could've cared less. there never even asked. the second trainer I had was a racist black #$$hole. I ended up getting off the truck. that was the end of my career with transam. they never even asked why. if your company condones this behavior, it might be a company that you would be better off NOT working for anyway. don't take any #$%^ from your trainer. he's just a dumb truck driver like the rest. if I had it to do over, I would've given that black devil I had to chauffer around a piece of my mind (he couldn't do the same because he didn't have one.)

Call the police while he is running illegal and tell them where you are and give them your truck number. Let them do the rest. ;)
