So I'm here in oak creek Wisconsin for orientation and training for transport national. Just after my first day here, I think I'm going to love it here. They really seem to have their #### together on how to treat drivers. They emphasize getting guys home at a minimum every 12 days, preferably every week. If time being out longer than 12 days is needed for a load, then the only one who can authorize it is the company president. Completely open door policy, everyone here wants to get to know the drivers, and their families. They even celebrate drivers birthdays and their families birthdays by sending them all cards in the mail.
They flew me up out of Richmond VA after I turned in my truck for p&s down at their Emporia terminal. The hotel they usually use is right down the street from the terminal, however it's full, so they put me up in the la Quinta Inn 2 miles away and gave me one of the company escort trucks to use for any runs I need to make within reason. Tomorrow I will be going out for my first day of training hauling oversize with one of their local guys. I won't be allowed to drive yet as I'm not in the system yet. Today was filled with watching videos and getting forklift certified, going over the typical paperwork, w2, i9, insurance. The safety manager took me out in the yard and we went over the different types of trailers that they have. My max size loads will be 13'6" tall and no more than 10" wide for the time being. After a few months I can test out into larger stuff.
Will update as I go through the next 2 weeks or so.

They have a brand-new 4 axle cascadia in the shop right now. They don't just bring trucks in throw some decals on them and put them out I the fleet, they go through them, find wiring issues where wires and hoses can chaff or get damaged and either reroute them, or completely rewire them. Most of their trailers are older, periodically they will perform maintenance on them by tearing them completely down to just frame and deck and rebuild them with new axles, hoses, wiring, you name it.
Here's their current project.
