Since they are flat broke and leveraged up to their wazoo, I expect that they’ll be wanting all the millions of dollars necessary to pull this off to come from the federal government,

They’re putting in two fueling stations in Southern California and “will work with” Nikola, a company trying to sell electric trucks without any way for drivers to fuel them. Who knows, maybe they are paying for it. Lord knows TA can’t afford to.

If they're failing so badly, maybe they should ask a trucker WTF might work. Cars can go and park and piss and eat anywhere they want. They don't need, want, or give a #### about having a "Travel Center".

    That’s kind of their specialty.

When your customers are legally required to stop and there is a severe shortage of truck parking but you’re still going broke, perhaps some self reflection is required. Naaaah, let’s just plow ahead and claim we’re doing physical improvements that will fix everything - as if the problems they have are with bricks and mortar.

Hydrogen fueling stations no where near the ports. Do they think the port truck drivers will spend 4 hours or more driving to get fuel at the end of the day?

Alternate fuels/power are coming. Its not going to be an overnight transition and certainly not in the 5 or whatever year window they're pushing for. Its got to start somewhere though. I think we'll see hydrogen fuel cell and electric trucks become more mainstream long before we see self-driving trucks.

They've priced truckers out of their truck stops.

The amount of money that they gross revenue wise and the little amount of money they net after everything seems like it shows they’ve got a spending problem somewhere… I know running a business cost can be high sometimes but dang this is nuts

bzinger and Western flyer Thank this.

The writing was/is on the wall when they started charging for paid parking. Then they started getting rid of most of their sit down restaurants.

I’ve been saying that they alienated their customer base, but did anyone listen??? Noooooo!
    drvrtech77 and bzinger Thank this.

Puns fully intended....I am neither for or against hydrogen, or other alt fuel based stuff. I am for humor though, even if it's bad puns. ;) - end disclaimer

Well this could end up being an explosive story if they don't do it right.

I mean this is big news, the biggest. And only big news is capable of blowing up to being worldwide news.

Sirscrapntruckalot - May your day be better than the Hindenburg's!
