According to details in the article, this fellow has some anger management issues:

When officers attempted to arrest Shaw, he reportedly fought back.
“Shaw had to be Tased multiple times, was bit by a Preble County Sheriff’s Office K-9 and fought with multiple law enforcement officers before being placed in handcuffs,” according to court records. Shaw then reportedly damaged the first cruiser he was held in by kicking, and had to be transferred to another cruiser, where he continued to kick the center divider.

You never know who you will park next to in a truck stop. He’s not crazy, he’s just stupid.

Bean bag shot to his nutz would have brought the situation under control in a fraction of a second :)

That man was whacked out enough to fight a F’n K-9 and multiple cases of Taser “shock therapy”!!I don’t think a bean bag nut check would’ve stopped him!!lol

For whatever reasons, tasers aren't always effective in bringing pain compliance, and there are many police videos showing this.
I cannot say the same for groin injuries.

Unfortunately the groin is a no-strike zone. Well, it's a no-strike zone for the baton, anyway. But I have seen an agitated, coked-up (or maybe it was PCP?) subject undergo an immediate attitude adjustment and become extremely compliant when an officer lowered his service weapon from the man's head to the man's groin.
