use of handheld device
why is that noted on the citation.............?
call another attorney, a truckwise one. -
You fight every single thing that would be a negative on your record! Why wouldn't you.? Chances are just showing up in court will be enough for the judge to put you on a 90 day probation and after that it will disappear.

I'm not trying to sound dismissive of your opinion; I really do want to know which is the better option. I can easily do either at this point. -

Quick point: You will not be any worse off by showing up than if you do nothing. But, chances are good that this will be dismissed as an over zealous trooper.
Quick point 2; Those attorneys you spoke with that said just plead guilty, If you put a $1000 retainer up front, they will switch and say Fight Fight! Gotta love 'em.
Good luck. -
x1Heavy Thanks this.

Thank you very much; this makes a lot of sense.
And so, does that mean I walk in and plead NOT guilty? -

Among them is one that's already been on the books in Chicago and is now in effect across the state. It's now illegal for drivers to talk while holding a cell phone while driving.
As of Wednesday, if you're going to talk on the phone while driving, you've got to use a hands-free device, or have it on speaker, out of your hands.
