I want to get a 14gn trailer but trucks gvwr is 11150#. Plus it has this sticker that says gcwr is 26000#. I have a cdl. I live in Nevada and plan on doing interstate whilst keeping everything legal. Truck is a 2024 Silverado 2500 hd.

You can check with the state of Nevada but you should be able to run that as a non CDL Hotshot combination.

You can derate the plate on the trailer if the manufacturer will do that, and add the truck and trailer up to 26,000 and you can run it that way. A lot of people do that.

So if your truck is 11,150 gvw, if you get your trailer rated for 14,850 gvw, that would be 26,000 and you can use it as it is, non cdl.
