Truck “trailering info” says gcwr is 26k can I plate for 28k?

That trailer has a rating of 15900. That puts you overweight for the combination. You won't be legal even though you have a CDL.

Why did you get a small truck?

 

You can check with the state of Nevada but you should be able to run that as a non CDL Hotshot combination.

You can derate the plate on the trailer if the manufacturer will do that, and add the truck and trailer up to 26,000 and you can run it that way. A lot of people do that.

So if your truck is 11,150 gvw, if you get your trailer rated for 14,850 gvw, that would be 26,000 and you can use it as it is, non cdl.
