It's more quitting under dispatch than abandonment as long as you don't leave the terminal.

This is very true. Most drivers assume that their company has a fleet of drivers just standing by to service the load that they decide that theyy are not going to run, for whatever reason. The truth is, especially for smaller fleets, that there are never unassigned drivers just idly waiting. Maximizing Driver and equipment utilization often leaves very little margin of error.

It isn't so much that you abandoned the equipment....sounds more like you quit under dispatch....what didn't you like about the training that caused you to not even give it a chance?

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

You did something petty and ultimately, paid the price. You abandoned the truck under a dispatch. You were petty, so they were petty. You should've ran the load and on your next stop home... Resign.

    Tough break

So often people learn the hard way that this is a really ugly game......play nice and you'll probably be ok. But, the dirtier you play, the dirtier it gets.

Either this is baloney, or these "one hit wonders" feel so stupid, they never come back.

Probably read all the answers that said the same thing, and of course everyone else is wrong, he’s right, and trucking companies suck, DAC sucks and why would they even do this to him.

    D.Tibbitt, motocross25 and 201 Thank this.
