Truck dangles off Bronx overpass

If anything at all happens it's going to be on that cursed cross bronx past the GWB but in the area of the east river.

There was a time around the spring of 2001 there was no railing whatsoever in the left lane of a high bridge over during construction. Absolutely none. If you missed the cues you would have gone splash 100+ feet down.

The last time I come through there a 4 wheeler full of half breeds made a full stop in front of me in the rain just prior to the Throg's Neck Split. Our ABS Kicked in and stopped us dead straight until below 25 and horsed the ##### around the surprised car in heavy manuvering. It wont be the first or last time I saved lives this way.

 

Lately it seems like there's been a bumper crop of truck accidents on bridges, usually with the tractor hanging off the edge of the bridge.

 

Those darn eLogs. I heard these were responsible for 96.3% of all crashes involving a class 8 CMV.

 

Check out that white car on the other side; just crawling along in the hammer lane rubbernecking.

 

Actually this could happen very easily if a car hits your steer tire and rip the steering wheel out of your hand.

 

The driver said he doesn't drink or smoke, want to bet he does now.
