BTW, the truck stops in that area are not a very safe place to park.... I used to go to Pilot there for fuel only... never took my 10 there.. it looked filthy, very tight and congested... people knocking on doors and soliciting and trying to sell stuff... this was many yrs ago... I wonder if it's still the same...

 

Wondering if it was another driver tired of the one on the pump not moving. Then again it is Alabama and it could have been a hate crime.

Very sad. As an American of Latino decent I have my guard up east of the Mississippi River. But for the most, it's not too bad. Funny thing, one of my favorite stops is the big travel plaza in Lincoln just east of Birmingham.

I don't stop for nothing down that way. It's the one city in the south where I am mistreated sometimes for being what I am. I don't stop for nothing. I blow right through there.

Once dispatch gave me a load of huge carpet rolls delivering down town there.

Cat on a hot tin roof I was. I couldnt deal with it. I had a blade in a boot and another in it's holster that day. Im glad I don't ever see that place again. It's a shame though some of the women went out of their way to actually be nice. It's the predators that were the problem there. Probably has been since '68
