Truck driver who rear-ended pickup hauling camper was distracted by eating, North Dakota

Anyone who slams into another vehicle like this should lose their CDL for life and automatic jail time if there are injuries.

 

I had a trainer a dozen years ago who would routinely eat salad with a fork out of a giant stainless steel bowl at the wheel. While gabbing through the entire shift into his bluetooth headset. Guy also would pick his nose and wipe it on the steering wheel. And was totally insistent that I cruise in the middle lane at all times .... right lane was only for getting on and off the highway. Good times. He actually quit as my trainer because I refused to do this, because I kept right except to pass. He dropped me off at a hotel. I guess he was 'right' about that though since about 70, 80 percent of drivers do that dumb shiznit now.
