That happens some here. Seems Con-agra has a problem with that.

I missed this one when it came out because I was up in the land of the badgers hauling, guess what, chickens.
All of the chicken haul trailers I have seen use multiple cages in gangs of 9, 12 and 15 that are approximately 8 feet wide and are called modules. These are removed from the trailer for loading and unloading the chickens, and are secured en-route with either a chain binder or nylon straps, we use 2.5 inch straps. In an accident, the modules would be thrown from the trailer and pop open when the restraints failed. Sometimes the modules aren't loaded closely enough together and the doors get opened, then you have escapees between them.
The thing about chickens is that when it is dark, they don't move, so they are always caught in the darkness. If it is light out and it is not extremely cold, they are darn hard to catch. It probably wasn't that cold in Mississippi.
If you have seen turkey trailers or capon haulers, they are different because the birds are too large to put in modules. Those cages are fixed with doors that open.

I wasn't picking on you,, I have always respected you, anyone who has successfully herded all of those horses and eighteen wheels down the highway has my respect.
BTW, I liked BJ and the Bear but I never saw her (Bear was played by a female chimp) drive that KW. I also used to watch TV but that was another lifetime.

I was just messing with you!Chimps are very smart. Most don't know this, but Bear was the brains of the show. Bear hit all the docks that BJ could not negotiate. Never caught on tape. We are the behind the scenes type. All the tight spots was spotted by Bear!
My other cousin Cheeta, used to be on Tarzan, just turned 75. Must be all the Cuban Cigars!
