Looking to purchase a GPS for Trucking. Specifically one that will alert low clearance bridges. Any recommendations?

    Thanks

Will a paper atlas alert me for low bridges coming ahead? Road closures?

I have a Rand McNally that I have had for the past few years. I like it, hasn't steered me wrong, I generally cross reference it with atlas or google maps.

Yes, it has bridge clearance and it's call reading detour signs to go around a close road. GPS can not tell if a road due to accidents or protesters blocking the road.

I use Garmin 720, google maps and an atlas.

Every week there is a new thread about this topic, just put "truck Gps" in the search box and you will find gazillion pages.
My personal favorite is $100 Copilot app on a Samsung or LG tablet and Google maps on my phone. Both run simultaneously all the time since I have lots of Data available

Yes as a matter of fact an atlas has pages and pages of all states and their low clearances and if you run into a road closure you can look at the map and find your way around it.

Granted this does require you to do an actual trip/ route plan.
