Whats up guys im currently leasing a 2014 386 pete the truck have 511,000 miles. I will be able to purchase the truck in June for $25,000. What kind of maintenance can i do to ensure that the truck continue to run problem free? If i can get it to last about 2 or 3 years i'll be happy with that. That will give me enough time to save for my dream truck which is a 389.

Change the oil regularly. Grease the chassis often. Do this yourself, and take the opportunity to go over the truck with a fine tooth comb every time you service it. Replace stuff that's showing signs of wear BEFORE it breaks.
It really isn't all that hard to do. The more you can do yourself, the easier it is to keep on top of what all needs to happen and when.OldeSkool, PE_T, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -

Regular maintenance pms belts shocks every year Ideally.Hoses Flush and keep antifreeze dca levels correct. Otherwise xtra costs batteries alternator tires and brakes ofcourse. After 700 k usually fan-turbo- air conditioner as needed the list goes on add expected emmission maintenance/ repairs as needed.Youll have plenty of costs even if only average repairs are needed.$10k a yr over a 4 yr period is very likely maybe more. Then thousands for overhaul if kept longer at least a clutch if not a re man trans. You’ll have no problem deciding what to do with any extra money if any you manage to save
