a few days ago i went to crank up my rig and it would not say crunk without the key in the start position. If i let the key go completely the truck turns off! Someone told me it could be a fuse but i don’t have a diagram to know which one is the ignition fuse. I personally don’t think it’s the fuse. Bad ignition maybe. I have a 2006 Freightliner Columbia. Help please!

    First guess, ignition switch.
Time to get your multi-meter out and check.
    Good luck

Your ignition switch is worn out, remove and replace.

If it was a fuse, your truck wouldn't even start, so since it does start it means your ignition switch internally is worn out.

The switch is 11 years old, it did its job.
