Truck only tolls to begin in less then 60 days

To say that what Rhode Island is doing is short sighted would be an understatement.
If you’re going to institute a toll program to help repair roads and bridges you need to toll EVERYONE EQUALLY,not just trucks!!!(looking at you Governor Raimondo)
And truth be told, I see more car and pickup truck traffic on I-95 thru the state than heavy truck traffic.

 

Road Island is pretty easy to route around. Remember when Indiana tried to force you to get fuel or pay the tax as if you had lasted about 30 days. This was before internet.

 

Trucks do a good deal of damage also already pay huge amount to use the road.

 

81 in Virginia won’t be far behind..

 

I’m fairly certain they can’t legally toll 95 as it was a publicly funded road. That’s why they had to get permission to toll the trucks.

Exactly. 395 up to 90. Done. Tiny little state like that ain't nothin' at all to get around.
