I told everyone I know, and its in my will, that if I die on the Highways in BC, its the CPX truck that did it.

Two white volvos, probably without Jakes. Fancy that.

Unionized trucking would get me to hang up the keys. No thank you. I want to be rewarded for being a good driver, not shunted up to the next seniority level for showing up to work every day.

Skilled trade, yes, union, HELL no.

Why they always put highway 8 as a viable detours is beyond me.. If the clowns can’t drive the coq they sure won’t be able to drive the 8

Why do you think the skilled trades pay so well? It's because the majority of the work is union. Do you really think that as a driver, you have the ability to stand up alone against your company by yourself when the company does you wrong? That's what unions are about, standing together...
Sorry you feel this way. If you check out the pay and benefits differences between union and non-union companies, you might consider the topic from a different angle...

The wage gap between union and non-union in skilled trades is actually not as big as you think. I had my best years income wise at a non-union shop.
