Trucker discusses overregulation on Fox news

I'm afraid to watch. Was he/she the worst possible spokesperson they could find? Did he/she embarrass the industry? Make us sound completely unreasonable?

 

I think it was a little over exaggerated, but he was pretty much spot on. Only thing he was missing was the Bluetooth hanging off his head and lost his razor.

 

I liked it. Perhaps not the best explanations he could have given, but he put his thoughts out there on national television. That's a start.

 

He gave a pretty good interview. Would have liked to see him pump it up more about how the Electric logs disallow sleep though.....

 

No, dispatchers and the HOS rules penalize sleep and trying to maintain a circadian rhythm, not eLogs.

 

Does he get paid for mowing his yard?

Why would he have to log on duty mowing his own yard or taking out the trash?

 

He probably wrote that in his essay that got Foxnews attention. But he probably would have been better off saying washing the truck while off duty is a violation since it is, in fact.
