i hope they castrate this trucker....permanent loss of CDL, fined heavily, sued, if an O/O, loss of everything, if a company driver, the company should be sued as well, and deep search into records, for steep fines.

i am as sick and tired of this bullcrap, as i can ever be, and everyone else should be as well.....a jerkwad trucker like this, makes the anti-trucking groups want to really legislate new laws to the industry.

i'd like to see a "nuclear verdict" against the trucker, and company

these 2 cops are from my state, picking up a BRAND NEW nearly $200,000 Emergency Response van made in Florida, and this happened in North Carolina, which is now TOTALED.

Honestly if the incident is the above. As much as i WANT to disagree with you since it does set some pretty dangerious precidents for even otherwise safe drivers. The only way this industry is getting fixed is if we get nasty about it.....that said i wouldnt hold your breath.

Regardless of your politics, personal accountability, work ethics, and pride in ones self and ones work are activly treated as BAD things in modern american culture. God forbid if you have the drive, motivation, and general sense to OWN a business. Then your hitler mixed with mao, stalin and genghis khan in the form of a very taxable loot pinata to everyone from the lowliest mcdonalds worker to the richest suit. Or so it feels.

well...to be a PROFESSIONAL worker, or a business owner, one MUST be professional in every aspect..if not, then get sued to the hilt for the stupidity, ignorance, negligence, dangers, that one causes.

this would be true of plumbers, roofers, electricians, etc, etc.

enough of the BS of hiring fools, jackwagons, incompetent, people to just meet hiring requirements.

we need to get nasty, and if that means MORE laws, rules, requirements, whatever it takes, then it has to get done, otherwise, sooner, rather than later, driverless trucks will be the norm, and frankly, i can't wait to see that happen, if it'll rid the roads of such stupid, dangerous truckers

There are many people out there with those qualities who own businesses who don't feel the same way. There are communities who are the pinnacle of those qualities, like the Amish or Mennonites, who are not being hated on just for holding themselves to a standard. Modern American culture isn't out there giving 1 star Google reviews to the companies out there for taking pride in their work and doing a good job.

Hard to get a nuclear verdict when nobody was really hurt.

It's a van. They can make another one.

These types of things happen every day in the USSA and you never hear about it but the minute a zogbot gets hit it's all over the indoctrination machine. What good are laws when they aren't enforced?

Am I the only one wondering what in the world the Newport R.I. police department thinks they need a military-spec armored car for? I gotta think there's better things they could do with $200,000 of the taxpayers' money.
