    Have seen news stories of same in the past.

    WTF runs through their heads, I don't know.

    But, prison sentence should be mandatory for this. Lifetime CDL ban.

    I agree.

    No tanker experience here so I'm curious, do owner operators get compensated for taking fuel to a discharge station?

    None here either, but I am guessing not & reason for actions.

    If they do get compensated, that's even worse.

    One and a half hours to drive 90 miles could have avoided whatever length of jail/prison time he's going to get. That's some genius-level thinking there.

    It was quick but when the driver and the trucking company get the cleanup bill from the state I guarantee you it ain’t gonna be cheap!!;)

    This same thing happened not too long ago in New Jersey I think. The driver loaded the wrong type of fuel and, when he realized it, he dumped it all into a creek instead of going back and admitting his mistake.
