IDK man that guard should have just let that driver leave. The driver didn't turn it in to that! The guard did! Period.

The guy may have screwed the pooch on this one by posting the video. It is every other situation like this it posting video has been inadvisable.

i think this was posted elsewhere, and garnered a .lot of comments..

many of us said, that the 2 were TOLD to keep thier hands OUT OF thier pockets, and the husband failed to do so, and then the "fight", or assault took place.

frankly, i don't feel sorry for either one.....fail to comply, and get what you deserved...''

i'd be interested in knowing how this pans out, later today in court....

    keep us posted.

yes, and i remember saying something like, "some" security companies, have FULL POLICE powers as well", those guards have guns...

they have the right to order the driver(s), no matter what....

give them any crap, and they can radio into the police, then you're really in a world of hurt....on top of what you already got.

To me several things in the article don’t add up. “He only recently learned that it was a high profile load of pharmaceuticals to the CDC”, he didn’t read the BOL, or he didn’t receive any BOL? And if it was a high profile load, wouldn’t they have been given some kind of verbal instructions or cautions before they left the dock after loading?

They weren’t inside the gate. They were in the process of searching the truck before letting them in the gate.
I haven’t done a pharmaceutical load since the mid 90’s,but we were not allowed out of the truck once past the gate.

The rub here is whether or not the guards at a private company are allowed to prohibit you from leaving when you're only at the entry gate being searched.
