It's actually Copilot Truck USA & Canada for truck specific routing and it costs $149.99. There are issues with their customer support mentioned in the reviews. I would spend the bucks on a truck gps. I do use Google maps on my Android for rough first look route planning but never for gps routing.

It's not a truck related app, but Chicago Traffic Tracker. It's free. But don't let the name fool you, it works all over the place. I've used it in Minneapolis St Paul, Des Moines, Milwaukee, as well as Chicago. There is a screen you push that will show you the current traffic conditions on a map. It's more accurate then the traffic on my GPS.

bigroad is not a trucker gps. it's a log book app.

copilot. i've never needed customer support. been using 3 years. $150. i've only paid ONCE. and works on any android device. including tablets.

BE ON ROAD i've been testing lately. it's as about as naked as it comes. as far as features goes. cost is $50 but i haven't had it bug me to pay yet. so far, it's been worth checking out.

navigator provides tom tom maps. $50. has a long way to go before it's actually useable in america.

you need wifi. copilot downloads in one map. it's 1.5 gigs. unless you want canada included then it's 1.7 gigs.
be on road is all seperate state maps. and adds up to 7.5 gigs. but it provides speed limits on most roads i've been on. that's the only feature it beats other units on.

if you want just a basic cheap gps app. be on road is the way to go. just make sure you go into settings and select ft/mi. so you can input your truck settings in english and not metric.
