The Hulk or Kermit the frog? I haven't named it yet. But it's my new truck. Boss gonna send me 9 hours by train to get it home.
The seller is going move some airtanks and mount sand spreaders. Then we take it home and move container locks forward so it will fit 7.45m container. And install microwave, CB radio and som lights.

mirrors are too big, volvo is best in this.
here people buy mirrorcam for other reasons than big mirrors, it is kind of must have.
i think entrance, even in wide cab with flat floor is far way better than in volvo.
plastic on steps does crack, it is possible to buy stainless steel ones
as for webasto smell, i am not informed about this.
what i dont like about this cab is relatively small fridge, larger one could not fit below unless they raise bed upwards.
on right side air intake that goes behind cab to middle of engine, take 4-5inch of cab floor, this make right stowage compartment bit smaller than left side. this part of cab floor make entrance for passenger bit harder than for driver.daf105paccar, Oxbow and medioker Thank this. -
this bring color cant be unnoticed.
so it is now c782 and you are going to replace subframe forward to suit c745 and cut overhang?
did you make axle weight calculation, this 185mm could result in front axle overload. i guess you have 8t front axle.
how good is condition considering it is nowerigan truck?Oxbow Thanks this. -
V8….? Heavy suspension? You guys fight over a few cm wheelbase…….
you need a 280” one……my day cab is 236” with set back front axle… gives you room to work .Oxbow Thanks this. -
what do you mean by heavy suspension?
when scania have twin tired tag than drive axle has only 2 bags, only version with steered tag axle can (optionally) have 4 bags on drive. -
Rears rated for 46,000 or 52,000 lbs…. Extra gear oil capacity and heavier wall on the differential.
-
this one would have 28660 lbs drive axle and tag 22050.
in legal way probably reduced to 41900 lbs.
when it is winter in norway they lift tag axle to get extra pressure on driven axles, on tractors this value goes to 42k on rigids trucks like this one up to 48,5k, depending how it is loaded, wheelbase etc. this is where you have to very careful as you has very little on front axle, and thereby no steering -
15L engine with fuel tanks as far forward as possible……
I have 12,000 lbs on front axle without a trailer on…..full usual load 14,000 lbs……Oxbow Thanks this. -
this one probably has 17,6k -
It's normal for me to not have steering. .. I have a moffet forklift back on truck, it weighs 2200 kg.
Fully loaded is 23-25 tonnes. I haven't seen it my self yet. Norwegian trucks are usually in my opinion well maintained so I'm not worried.
If we order new truck it will be delivered in august next year. Used trucks are only option now, and dealers know that.daf105paccar, Oxbow, Cat sdp and 1 other person Thank this.
