I'm at a higher level.Dont even drive anymore Just dont .You lose your family your health and yourself. That truck is a prison sentence.Im sure some will disagree. The only way I see trucking as a valuable adventure.Husband and wife owner ops.Not lease ops Own authority and truck.Or a loner with nothing.Still own authority and truck. The emissions alone will hang you.An old truck rebuilt. That you can work on.pre egr.minimal rust.detroit.Only Detroit for parts and price.Cat is considered better.I disagree because of parts pricing and availability.Dont add up to the miles.that can be ran.paccar is the biggest garbage.

It's much better with paid off equipment and insurance paid for the year. There will always be maintenance, repairs, and a small amount of paperwork. Get to a certain point and trucking can be a pretty easy business to run and maintain. What other small business allows you to take off whenever you want for however long you wish?

I see countless Freightliner century or 2000 Volvo pulling containers or Amazon. Always thought they will go out of business but again and again .....they are still here ...what is their secret!?

Another happy camper,,,feel better now? TTR has many purposes and one is to let pixxed off drivers vent. It's a victimless crime, I suppose,as long as no personal gripes are listed. Thing is, all these disgruntled people,,,are right. Trucking has never, to my knowledge, been" worth it". If you went into trucking thinking rags to riches, you were sorely mistaken. It was an easy job that required no experience or real training, and most of us stayed with it because we could imagine doing anything else. That alone was worth something. This particular person, I only hope never gets behind the wheel of a semi with that attitude, heck, I'd be cautious if they were in a 4 wheeler.
Flat Earth Trucker, Vampire and kanidana Thank this. -
