pay is by the hour the more hours you work the more you make and that varies by what base your staged out of but latly we have been locked at 84 hours per week max and remember out of that 90,000 I took home a little over 88,000

Yea those look a lot safer then when I was there. Do they have armor under them too? It would be funny to see someone driving that state side not to mention they'd probably alway be overweight due that up armor LOL

O cool yea i was in the Marine Corps how much experience do you have to have for them to hire you? I would love to be back around a bunch of Marines but I can't go back in a hurt in a training exercise overseas now I got some metal in my leg so I can't run the way I used to be able too. I'm don't even have my CDL yet but I'd still come over there LOL. I used to do Logistic work in the Marne Corps, I'll have to see if they need anybody in logistics.

They make you pay SS and medicare now.And you must stay gone 330 out of 365 days for the tax exemption. The 330 days do not have to be done in one stretch, but does have to be done in a single 365 day period..So you can take a couple 2 week vacations if u wanted to...Iraq is closing so they are not hiring alot of drivers from the U.S.,but instead from India and the Phillipines...I worked over there for a year doing off base heavy recoveries...I have no doubt the military would absoluetly do everything in there power to help find a contractor..If you drive off base for KBR,you work hand in hand with your escorts..Driving in Iraq can get you some good money..But that dosnt mean civillians are not still dying on the road..We lost one guy in recovery to an IED while I was there..Spyder,those Intnl paystars are sweet..To bad they are an 18 speed auto lol..I think they weigh around #37,000 as a bobtail..We have had to roll them over a few times..The turning radius on them is nothin..Just type in kbrjobs on yahoo, and the website for job listings should pop up..Incase anyone wants to know lol...

Also, the KBR employees in Kuwait, dont make as much as the employees in Iraq or Afghanistan..So driving in Kuwait will be safer, but there will be a pay cut for that...I think it amounts to about $1500 a month from what I have been told..The recovery guys in Kuwait had a smaller base pay and uplift, and thats about the amount they always said they got less then us..

The first International arrived when I was there in 2006. Or at least it was the first one I saw. We mostly drove unarmored Volvos and Mercedes and then the Army trucks. Then the up-armor facility was built and they started armoring the Volvo's and Mercedes. This was at Anaconda. I will always remember 59 Alpha.
