Know the laws where you are parked

Beginning May 1, 2010, a vehicle equipped with a sleeper berth, which is equipped with a model year 2007 or newer engine, or has been retrofitted with a diesel particulate filter that is connected and properly functioning, will be exempted. This is because the newer model year vehicles run much cleaner than older diesel-powered vehicles. Also, the State is trying to motivate the regulated community to install diesel particulate filters on their older vehicles.


Unless they are older than a 2007 (egad who would drive such an old POS) they are fine.

 

Thought that was the whole idea behind the certified clean idle sticker thingy

 

Oh and the reason the truck stop don't call the fuzz is they are just as likely to be fined as the dirty trucker idling his truck

 

It is and they are exempt

 

That explains it. They are idling to burn off fuel so they can avoid the parking fee by making room in the tanks to stuff in 60 gallons
