Trucks taking Marion, TN runaway ramp on I-24

For the newbies and experienced...never be afraid to use these. Never...save your life and others anyday you can. That's what they're for. Period!

Hats off to those using them.

 

They all get tickets for failure to maintain control too. I see stupid drivers every day going down it that don't stop for the brake check and drive too fast. I could go down that one fully loaded with no service brakes at all as long as I had a jake which every truck out here does any more.

 

Yep. Have to wonder how many just blew by the Brake Check pull off and ended up smoking the brakes?

TDOT knows who pulled in,actually got out of the truck and looked. So if they see someone using the runaway ramps all they have to do is review the surveillance camera footage and see who stopped at the top of Monteagle and who didn’t!
