    Hi everybody,
Am new to this board, looking for a little info. Haven't driven for ten years, had health issues that kept me home and recently had surgery and the issues are going away. I am widowed and want to get back on the road, am running into some hurdles. Need to have some testing done, which no problem doing it, but my doctor isn't knowledgable about DOT regulations. Am looking for a sample letter that I can show him so he can put the correct information in, am already set up to go to school, was at the clinic for physical and the dr. informed me the release letter my dr. wrote wasn't good enough.

Really would appreciate any help, can send me a private message, am really confused at this time.

If it were me I would see another doctor that is very knowable with the FMCSR. You can still see your regular doctor, just explain to him or her you need a truck doctor. If not show the doctor all the requirements in the FMCSA. You can go to any truck stop and buy for a couple of bucks the little green book called the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Pocketbook and give to him.

Thank-you for the Reply. That may be what I do. He does have some knowledge, just not experienced with this kind of situation.
