I was told I was told you get 1,500 to 1650 miles per week and I've been offered $0.42 per mile but you also get 25 for loading and 35 for unloading and I was told that I load and unload every load and that that would be an extra 300 per week because of a five loads a week average.

that means my pay would be that means my pay would be 930 to 990 gross weekly

Is this real or is this real or is this just a bunch of BS?

Also, does anybody know what the average single insurance rate is per week?

I don't know where you are at. Or if it is hauling food grade or chemicals. But it's not enough for me. What company is it?

Schneider, I only have 3 months OTR so I know I'm gonna take a hit on pay to start.

Talk to Superior, and Quality Carriers. If they will hire you, you will get a better start

Its interesting to compare what driving tankers in 2 different counties is like when it comes to getting paid not that'll be much help to you bud however we do regional here in 6 days i'll drive around 2784 km which is around 1740 miles we are on a flat rate $43 per hour so you do say an average of 1550 miles @ .42 c per mile you earn $651 i do 6 days @ an average of 9 hours per day x $43 = $2322 it pretty easy to work out who has the better deal.

Even after you take away the difference in what the Australian dollar is worth compared to the u.s. dollar and the higher cost of living in Australia you're still averaging about $29 an hour. that makes it a little bit more equal for comparison to the US dollar. And depending on where you live in the United States there's some tanker drivers making that but not many areas pay that high.
