Trying to get into Tankers, had enough of Freight.

Hello Fellow Drivers,

I have 12 years of freight experience with all my endorsements, and have a Twix card as well. been around quite a bit on those 12 years of freight hauling, with different companies that is .

I am originally from Allentown PA but currently reside in Central Florida, I don’t mind heading back up North but it has to be for a Tanker Gig, here in FL I’ve tried getting a job in fuel hauling but is a mafia down here, no luck, I had a interview this week for Airgas at the Palmeton plant waiting on the terminal manager to tell me if I got the job hauling ammonia, if so I’ll move back up north for that.

anybody here knows anything for that plant? Or hauling ammonia for Airgas?

Or I’ll take any advice you guys have, I rather stay down in Sunny Florida but Jobs down here kind of sucks.

In the how to start lead, it didn’t pan out to anything, it’s a norm here in FL of companies not reaching out to you after saying they would, plus other people start chiming in about all kinds of other stuff that the thread went completely out of context. And as of Indian River is right across my house but for the money they offer not worth the over the road sacrifice.

 

Called it Twix because after I got it had been collecting dust.

 

Applied they say I don’t have Tanker “Experience”

 

Applied was told by the senior recruiter they have someone in the works that if it doesn’t work I was going to get a look at, no response yet.
