Come on. "They told me lies and dreams" and you're not at all interested in what they were? I am!

If I could have passed a D.O.T. physical, I would have liked to have gone to a truck driving school to learn how to drive a truck.
I would liked to have been able to drive SOLO OTR to all 48 states and possibly to Canada.

Tyson Foods, out of Springdale Arkansas, would have been one of my really top choices to apply for an OTR job at.

Tyson Foods is not a trucking company, but a very large company with their own fleet of trucks. They haul beef, chicken, pork, ham, veal, lamb, mutton, and frozen foods to all 48 states.

They have a reputation of treating their drivers very decently along with great pay and benefits.
GO FOR THE OTR JOB AT TYSON FOODS!!

Good luck to you! God bless you and your family!

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I drove for Tyson for 5yrs, I've been gone almost 4 years. There a stand up company, have good equipment and good benefits. The real difference is thy are not a trucking company, there a food company that has trucks which means money isn't near as tight, you will especially notice this at there shops. The biggest PIA was waiting for the live loads on the fresh chicken side. Enjoy orientation, thy used to use the Executive Inn for new drivers, don't know if thy still do. I think you will do just fine there, keep your nose clean ,be on time you shouldn't have a problem. Good Luck

Tyson is a great company. I worked for them for 2 years. Made driver of the quarter. I left to be a owner op. They stood behind me during my accident. They put me not at fault while the officer put me at fault.

They have to give you a bus ticket home so that recruiter was lying to you. Years ago when I first started driving I was about eight months into it and switch companies and went to this orientation and didn't like anything they had to say so I chose to leave they gave me a bus ticket a van was waiting on me outside to take me back to the hotel to get my stuff took me to the bus station drop me off
